Fireena is one of the 4 monsters that the player can choose from when starting a new game.
Physiology[]
Fireena are unique in that they are both organic and also carry a live flame on their bodies. Their thick hide is covered with very fine, short, fur that is spotted in several areas. They have a burning flame on their heads that extends down to the base of their neck. Also on their heads are two small nubs that will eventually develop into the long twisted horns wielded by the Folv. Otherwise, Fireenas are essentially a quadruped with dog-like features.

Special Abilities[]
The flame on the Fireena's head is able to be controlled to an extent. When they are happy their flame grows larger and brighter, and likewise, when unhappy it becomes smaller. Remarkably, the flame does not set fire to their surroundings, though they can choose to burn opponents with it if they so wish.
Behavior[]
Fireena are timid and a bit wobbly on their feet. They prefer the companionship of other Fireena and their older Folvs. They're fairly calm, but are also playful and enjoy sleeping in pileups of their siblings.
Habitat[]
Fireena are found in deserts and caves. They live in burrows and emerge during the day to hunt and scavenge for food.
Diet[]
Fireena will hunt prey of smaller monsters. They will also join in a meal a Folv has caught. During twilight hours, they cease hunting and will look for carcases from past hunts to pick at. Very rarely do Fireenas eat vegetation, but in times when hunting is scarce, they will travel to the desert and eat the fruit of cactus.
